The Long Island Electricians Apprenticeship Program

Great Electricians Aren’t Born. They’re Trained!

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee of Nassau/Suffolk Counties train their apprentices to be the finest electricians in the electrical industry.

An electrician must be able to assemble, install, repair or work on entire systems, whether it be in a residential home, a school, an electrical generation facility, street lights, traffic lights, alarms, computers, telephone systems and all other facets of the industry. An electrician must be able to navigate in a dynamic industry that could require the electrician to learn specialized skills and obtain additional certifications.

The LIJATC is prepared to help an electrician meet these and any other challenges that may develop in the course of the electrician's career. The Trustees of the LIJATC have developed a state-of-the-art training facility that is second to none, with classrooms stocked with the finest equipment.
