RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS

Please be advised: THE J.A.T.C. WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS DURING AN ACTIVE NYSDOL RECRUITMENT PERIOD. Call the Office @ (631) 434-3939 ext. 1 to inquire about future recruitments.

Applications for our Electrician Inside Wireman, Maintenance Technician and Residential apprenticeship programs will then be available, on the First and Third Wednesdays of every month, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. – 12 Noon

YOU MUST APPLY IN PERSON AND BRING THESE DOCUMENTS WITH YOU:

Your High School Diploma or GED
Your High School Transcript – To prove algebra requirement
Proof of Residency – Applicant must have been a Resident of Nassau/Suffolk Counties at least 12 months prior to the date of application.
Any other Transcripts (college, special schools, etc) or Certificates of Completion for courses taken after High School.
Basic Entrance Requirements

Applicant must be a graduate of an approved High School or hold a New York State-approved High School Equivalency Diploma.
Applicant must have taken and passed the following mathematics courses: Elementary Algebra, Seq. Math 1, Math 1 or Freshman High School Regents Math.
Applicant must have been a Resident of Nassau/Suffolk Counties at least 12 months prior to the date of application.
Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of application.
Applicant must pass the NJATC/AIR Aptitude test, which is administered by the J.A.T.C.
The applicant must have a personal interview with the J.A.T.C.
Before final acceptance, each applicant will be required to submit and pass a Substance Abuse Test and may be required to pass a physical exam paid for by the J.A.T.C.
