PRESIDENT’S REPORT Jan-Feb 2021

BY JOHN GUADAGNO

Let me begin this article by wishing all our members and families a very healthy and happy New Year. 2020 turned out to be a bittersweet year. Sadly, we lost some members and their family to
Covid-19. In the coming months, let’s hope and pray that the long awaited Covid-19 vaccine is available to our members and life can go back to normal.

We had a good year in manhours in our “A” division and continue to have full employment with travelers helping on many jobs. We will be continuing our union hall improvements. Outside
work is almost done in the back with a new awning and pavers. The sewer hook-up work should start this spring.

Please do not forget to donate to the V.S.S.C. to help members in need. “Do the right thing” because one day it may be you looking for help. Our strength is in each other, and today the old union
slogan that “In Unity There is Strength” is as important as it has ever been.

If you are not doing anything on the second Tuesday of each month, please come down to the monthly union meeting, you will find it informative.

In closing, enjoy the winter and work safe. Until we meet again.
