PRESIDENT’S REPORT May-June 2021

BY JOHN GUADAGNO
As we enter the months of July and August, I hope all are having a great summer with your families. On the Union front, we have reached book 2 on our referral for the fifth year in a row and work continues to be strong the rest of the year. Business Manager Kevin Casey and the Business Office are all doing a great job in keeping our Local moving forward.

On June  18,  2021,  the  Joint  Apprenticeship  Training Committee for the Electrical Industry of Nassau and Suffolk Counties will hold a graduation ceremony for 36 “A” Construction Apprentices, with Industry leaders from both labor and management in attendance to salute the graduates. Special thanks to our JATC Director Chris Kelly; his staff, Jennifer and Emily; JATC Day Instructor John Cleaver and all the night instructors for producing a fine 2021 class. I would like to congratulate all the graduates once gain for a job well done.
Our 50th Annual Softball Tournament will be held on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at Eisenhower Park and Baldwin Park. Volunteers are needed and appreciated. Please call the President’s Office if you would like to help.
Our car show will be held on July 18, 2021, in the back parking lot of the Union Hall from 12pm - 5pm; fun for the whole family.

If you are not doing anything on the second Tuesday of each month, please come down to the hall for our monthly Union meeting.

In closing, enjoy the summer and work safe. Until we meet again.
